Undefeated Ukrainian lightweight fighter Ivan Redkach explained that he was interested in former champion Ruslan Provodnikov on a proposed date of November 28th in Moscow, but there were issues that prevented the fight from going - namely the financial compensation to move up in weight for a fight with a dangerous puncher like Provodnikov.

"At first, I had a fight on the 10th of October with a good opponent with a record of 29-1, (21 KOs)," said Ivan. "But there were some overlaps with the TV. It was supposed to be the main event on Showtime, but that's boxing and business, so things can change at the last moment."

"Then it was proposed to have a fight in Moscow on November 28th against Ruslan Provodnikov. We agreed, but then something went wrong. [There was snags regarding the] money. For this fight I'd have to climb in the ring at 140, and Ruslan is a good fighter and he could give the Moscow public an entertaining fight. In any case, good luck to him with the slection of an opponent. "
