MORE LIVE RESULTS TO COME..........
Later on tonight, WBO lightweight champion Ray Beltran will defend his title for the first time against former super featherweight champion Jose Pedraza in an ESPN televised main event. In the co-feature bout, WBO super bantamweight champion Isaac Dogboe will face Hidenori Otake of Japan.
Trevor McCumby (24-0) returned to the ring after a 21-month layoff and defeated veteran Jessie Nicklow (27-9-3) via technical knockout.
McCumby was suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for testing positive for a banned substance after his November, 2016 win over Donovan George that was later changed to a no contest.
It took McCumby a couple of rounds to find his groove but a big combination by the Phoenix resident had Nicklow badly hurt just seconds into the third round. He stayed on his feet but was unable to defend himself which prompted the ref to call off the fight at the 0:40 mark of the third stanza.
Breenan Macias kept his perfect record intact with two round demolition of Phillip Adyaka (7-12). The local product landed a right hand right on the button as the bell sounded to end the second round and the referee immediately waved the fight off.
In the first fight on the card, 154 pound prospect Sagadat Rakhmankulov (3-0) survived a bad cut to over his right eye to win a unanimous decision over Christian Aguirre (7-3).
Rakhmankulov, who is managed by Egis Klimas, controlled the first round with his jab. Aguirre was very aggressive in the first two rounds but slowed down in the fourth as Rakhmankulov really got into his rhythm and increased his punch output. Aguirre tried to rally in the last two rounds but his sloppy punches weren't enough to deter the former highly decorated amateur. The final scores were 59-55 twice and 60-54.
