Lightweight contender Ray Beltran will continue to stay active as he awaits a title shot.
"I'm going to fight on December 2nd, I'm set for the co-main event,'' said Beltran, outside the Wild Card Boxing Club on Tuesday afternoon before his days training. This card will take place at the Save Mart Area in Fresno, California and his headlined by Jose Ramirez.
Beltran recently met with Top Rank to discuss his future, according to the 35-year old,"They told me next year is going to be a big one. They got big plans for me so I'm just staying busy."
For Beltran, who has pro mark of 31-7-1 (19 KO's) this will be his third outing since May, when he returned from a year-long suspension for testing positive for steroids after his bout versus Takahiro Ao in May of 2015.
"I'm very happy and I think I'm coming back strong, stopping my opponents. So I'm ready to take on whoever it is," said Beltran, who notes he will be staying at 135 for the time being.
According to Top Rank matchmaker, Brad Goodman, Beltran will be facing Mexican Jose Luis Rodriguez.
