Ranee “KO Kid” Ganoy, the hard-hitting Filipino lightweight from the stable of Dido Bohol in Sydney, Australia, has blasted Thailand’s Decha Bankluaygym, winning by a knockout in the second round in Lilyfield, New South Wales on Thursday night.
It was Ganoy’s fifth straight KO win after a 4th round TKO loss to Fernando Angulo on December 5, 2008 in South Africa in a fight he didn’t apparently train for long and well enough.
In his previous fight on December 11, 2009, Ganoy’s demonstrated his awesome punching power by destroying another Thai fighter Kongthainat Sorkitti, winning by a 1st round TKO.
With the win, Ganoy, who sent former world champion Robbie Peden into retirement after a bad beating in March 9, 2007 when the Filipino won the vacant IBF Pan Pacific lightweight title with an 8th round knockout, improved to 30-11-2 with 26 knockouts.
The 24 year old Bankluaygym dropped to 30-11-5 with 16 knockouts.
He had previously dropped a ten round decision to Jason Pagara in a WBO Asia Pacific Youth title fight on October 16, 2009.
