The opponent of Ranee "KO Kid" Ganoy who will be featured on the blockbuster fight card of well-known promoter Sammy Gello-ani at the Cebu Coliseum on July 19 will be Thai light welterweight Sapapetch Sor Sakaorat.

The rugged Thai fighter has a record of 13 - 4 with 8 knockouts while Ganoy who has been fighting for the Dido Bohol stable in Sydney, Australia has a record of 24-10-2 with 20 knockouts.

In his last fight Ganoy who has had a string of knockouts to his name as his career picked up scored a second round KO over Somchai Nakbalee in an IBF Pan Pacific lightweight title defense in November, 2007.

Ganoy won the title with a smashing eighth round knockout of former world title challenger Robbie Peden who went the distance in a title fight against Mexican legend Marco Antonio Barrera on September 17, 2005.

Ganoy who is considered one of the hardest punchers in the lightweight division is scheduled to arrive in Cebu on July 13 to wind down training for his much-awaited appearance before hometown fans.

However, Sakaorat is not likely to be a pushover having won his three fights this year, all by knockouts taking out three Thai opponents in a total of less than nine rounds.
