According to The Desert Sun, featherweight prospects Randy Caballero (4-0, 4KOs) and Gabino Saenz (1-0, 1KOs) are likely heading to Golden Boy Promotions. Both prospects were promoted by the financially broken TKO Promotions. Manager Cameron Dunkin told the paper that both fighters were granted releases from TKO a few weeks ago. Dunkin also manages Canadian star Mikael Zewski, who recently got a release from TKO and signed with Golden Boy.
“They have to sign and get with a top promoter and get fighting and not lose momentum and not slow down,” Dunkin told the paper. “The problem with the deal is, the reason they went with TKO, they gave them more money than any other promoter would give them. Now we're back to where we were. They're not going to give them the money they had with TKO.”
