Hollywood, Florida - The Cuban star Guillermo “The Jackal” Rigondeaux (8-0, 6KOs), from his ongoing training camp, has informed BoxingScene.com that his fight against WBA super bantamweight champion Rico Ramos (20-0, 11Kos) was being rescheduled to January 20 in a venue to be determined.

The fight was previously scheduled for December 31th, but postponed last week after light heavyweight Zsolt Erdei became injured and his main event with IBF champion Tavoris Cloud was canceled. Showtime backed away from the card, but pushed to find a new date for Ramos-Rigondeaux.

"The Jacka" continues to train in Hollywood with the addition of trainer Ismael Salas.

“We are better connected now. This takes his time and this situation has given us the time to obtain a better understanding [between each other] and we hope to obtain a big victory on January 20th," Rigondeaux said.
