Mexican boxer Ramon "The Prince" Garcia boxer was injured this week, and for that reason he will not defend his junior flyweight title of the World Boxing Organization (WBO) this Saturday against Colombian fighter Jesus "Blade" Geles, on an event that is scheduled for this Saturday at the Convention Center of Cartagena, Colombia.

However, this injury will not prevent the presentation of Geles fighting at home as part of the closing to the 23rd annual convention of the WBO.  Promoter Felix "Tutico" Zabala, and members of the organizing committee have asked the championship committee for a replacement to step in for Garcia to face Geles for the interim crown.

"We are looking for a replacement to fight Geles. We have a name selected (Panamanian Walter Tello), but we are awaiting for approval from the WBO," said Zabala.

According to Zabala, the Mexican flyweight champion Garcia is now the full champion of the WBO, given that Mexico's Giovanni Segura, who dethroned Ivan Calderon recently, vacated the title.

"These things always happen in boxing, but the trick is not to have a problem, but to succeed and that we are working on right now," said Zavala.
