World heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman is in Rochester, N.Y., training there to get set for his first title defense at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. on March 18.

Rahman will work out at the Roc Boxing and Fitness Center, 524 Atlantic Ave.  At a press conference, attended by mayor Robert Duffy of Rochester, Rahman told fight writer Leo Roth of the Rochester Democrat and Gazette "....I'm looking forward to winning this title fight, coming back here and helping the mayor with the kids and whatever charity he needs."

"The Rock" and his manager, Steve Nelson, said they considered training sites in Bend, Oregon; Great Gorge, N.J. and the Poconos before selecting Rochester, N.Y.

"Everyone here greeted us with open arms," Nelson said.
