Former two-time heavyweight champion Hasim "The Rock" Rahman (45-6-2, 36KOs) stopped Zuri Lawrence (23-13-4, 0KOs) in the tenth and final round at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Rahman, fighting for the fourth time in 2007, had a lot more trouble than many had expected from the light-hitting Lawrence, who took the fight on several days notice. Lawrence was rocked and knocked outside of the ring in the sixth round, but survived and managed to hustle a few rounds in the bank. In the tenth, Rahman was able to get Lawrence in trouble to force the stoppage.

Going into the final round, the fight was a split-decision, with scores of 86-84 Lawrence, 86-84 Rahman and 88-82 Rahman.

On the undercard, welterweight contender Jesus Soto-Karass (18-3-3, 14KOs) won a ten-round unanimous decision over Juan Buendia (14-2-1, 8KOs). The scores were 97-92, 97-92 and 98-91.
