Featherweight Rafael Marquez has hired retired former world champion Daniel Zaragoza will be his new trainer. After spending a career under the guidance of manager/trainer Nacho Beristain, Marquez broke away last week. Marquez claimed Nacho was ignoring him in the gym and spending all of his time training older brother Juan Manuel. Zaragoza, a hall of famer, will be training Marquez for the fourth fight with Israel Vazquez on May 22.

He will also get help from his father Don Rafael Marquez,  Dr. Plutarco Gatica, Arturo Uruzquieta, Ernesto Salgado and Rafael García of California.

Previously reported on BoxingScene.com, Nacho said there is a binding contract with Marquez that he planned to exercise. Marquez responded to that claim and said the contract is invalid because Nacho did not live up to the terms. Marquez will now be co-promoted by Gary Shaw and top Mexican promoter Fernando Beltran.

"The document Bacho mentions Nacho is invalid because several of the clauses were never met," Marquez told ESTO. "My fights are now promoted by Gary Shaw and Fernando Beltran.
