At Deportivo Trabajadores del Metro in Iztacalco, Distrito Federal, Mexico, super featherweight Rafael "Chocho" Guzman (28-2, 20KOs) proved his power by stopping Jorge Ibarra (10-6, 4KOs) in third round of their main event bout, staged by HG Boxing and Zanfer Promotions. From the start, Guzman's superiority was clear when he dropped Ibarar and came close to finishing him in the second round. In the third, he landed some very hard shots to force referee Guadalupe Garcia to stop it.
ON THE UNDERCARD
Juan Montiel won by TKO over Felipe González in 2:48 of their lightweight bout.
Shoky Sakay won a six round unanimous decision over Aldo Hernandez in a lightweight bout.
Isao Carranza knocked out Victor Martinez in the first round.
