The handler of Panama ’s Rafel “El Torito” Concepcion says a rematch against AJ “Bazooka” Banal in the future is possible.

The CEO of Optimum Sports Agency Damon De Berry who made a fine impression when he was in Cebu for the WBA Interim super flyweight title fight in which Concepcion scored a stunning 10th round knockout over Banal who was leading on the scorecards of all three judges at the time of the stoppage said “we would love to fight there again.”

However, De Berry , made it clear to insidesports.ph, Standard Today and Viva Sports that although he had “a great time in Cebu, there has to be the right incentive” noting that the first time Concepcion fought Banal it was for the interim championship. He said “if we do it again it has got to make sense.”

Both Banal, the hard-hitting southpaw and the tough Concepcion won their last fights. Banal scored a well crafted 4th round knockout over Indonesian champion Nouldy Manakane while Concepcion scored an eight round unanimous decision over former world champion Kermin Guardia in Brooklyn , New York .

De Berry said it was “a good win against a crafty veteran.” He said Concepcion took a few rounds to warm up and work out the ever-moving southpaw style of Guardia but by the 4th round Rafael was catching Guardia often and stalking his opponent.”

Independent reports on the fight noted that Concepcion won because he was the more aggressive fighter throughout although as De Berry conceded Guardia “had some success in the early rounds with his straight left hand.”

It turns out that Guardia “didn’t want to engage and made the fight a slow affair as he kept moving continuously without committing.”

De Berry added that Concepcion “started to cut off the ring and punish Guardia’s body and by the 8th round was chasing his adversary around the ring.”

Concepcion said Guardia was “very experienced but this is how I learn, by fighting experienced fighters with different styles. I worked him out after a few rounds and was catching him a lot the last few rounds.”

De Berry said he was glad to see that Banal made a good comeback.
