Sergey Rabchenko has today relinquished the EBU super welterweight title due to the impossibility of obtaining a visa from Belarus to Italy where he was to defend the title on May 17 in Ostia (near Rome) against Emanuele Della Rosa.
In order to keep the date, promoter OPI 2000 has been authorized by the EBU allow Della Rosa to go for the vacant title and Spaniard Isaac Real, # 15 in the current ratings, has accepted to step in for Rabchenko and fight the biggest fight of his career with four days to go.
Previously Michele Di Rocco´s defence of the EBU super lightweight title against Alexandre Lepelley fell through when Di Rocco came down with the flu. Di Rocco is well enough though to fight a six rounder on this show.
