I received more than one email asking if there was any truth to this one. There have been some early talks for a junior middleweight bout between Carlos Quintana (26-2, 20KOs) and undefeated Harry Joe Yorgey (22-0 10KOs). Quintana has been out of ring since last October, dealing with an ankle injury and a bad case of the flu. Yorgey is coming off the biggest win of his young career, a knockout of previously undefeated Ronald Hearns from this past March.
Promoter Lou DiBella tells BoxingScene.com that Quintana does have interest in the fight. The two sides are still discussing the fight that would take place on ShoBox.
"We have talked about the fight for ShoBox. There is interest. There is no set date at the moment," DiBella said.
