Former welterweight champion Carlos Quintana gives WBC champion Andre Berto a lot of credit for taking such a dangerous fight. Quintana challenges Berto for the title on April 10. Berto was due to have a unification with Shane Mosley in January but was forced to withdraw to handle some family related issues. Berto has family members who were affected by the tragedy in Haiti.

"I want to give credit to Berto for giving me this opportunity. Not a lot of fighters would dare to fight me. But we agreed for April 10 and I will raise my hands as the new welterweight champion," Quintana told Primera Hora.

Quintana sees the Berto opportunity as a fresh start. He plans to make the most of it.

"This is a new beginning in my career, fighting for the third time for a world title and I will not miss. More than five weeks I've been training hard for this fight and I expect a great victory," Quintana said.

Berto is just as confident as Quintana. He saw the Puerto Rican fighter in action a few times and didn't see anything too threatening.

"I've seen Quintana fight a couple of times. Left-handed, sneaky and cunning. He has a somewhat unusual style, but it's nothing that I haven't seen before. I don't think what he brings is a problem for me.I'm going to use my speed," Berto said.
