After a few snags in getting the fight finalized, undefeated Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin will be taking on veteran Ronald “Winky” Wright as the co feature to Antonio Tarver vs. Lateef Kayode on June 2nd live on Showtime. Many are wondering what the 41 year old Wright has left in the tank after being out of the ring for 2 years and mounting a second comeback in the last four years.

“If he beats me then everybody’s going to say ‘Oh look, he let a 40 year old man beat him’. And I’m not saying that’s the case because he’s definitely does have a lot of talent. I’m not taking that away from him. I’m not over looking him. Matter of fact, I’m getting ready for a 21 year old Winky Wright, not the 41 year old. The 21 year old because that may be the Winky Wright we see June 2nd” said Quillin.

The one thing that always made Wright such a difficult opponent was his shell like defense. His defense is so tight fighters often find it hard to find any openings and to top it off, you have a piston like jab coming out of that shell. Quillin already knows what he’s up against and told Boxingscene.com he’s out to get some “crab meat”.

“He’s probably one of the best defensive fighters out there but what I can say is that if you want crab meat, and I’m going to keep saying it, if you want crab meat you have to crack that shell open” explained Quillin.

Peter Quillin is indeed ready for arguably the biggest test of his career against Winky Wright. During the press conference the confident Quillin went as far as removing his shirt to show that he’s already in top physical form and also promised to take Winky to Pluto.

“When I say nobody’s ready that means I’m ready for anybody. We’re going to take them dudes to Pluto. You want to go to Pluto, P’s going to take ya’ll to Pluto. If ya’ll don’t know what [Pluto is], we can’t get you back but we can get you there. Pluto is the place these dudes never been; it’s where the stars live at. We’ll take you to Pluto if you want to go” informed an animated Quillin.

Quillin hopes Wright is the one seeing stars on June 2nd when they clash at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.
