The rumor has been circulating for many weeks, regarding the presence of Peter Quillin (21-0-0) at the Pepsi Coliseum on December 18. Quillin has announced on the social networks that Golden Boy Promotions confirmed his appearance on the card. He will face Michael Walchuk (9-2-0), an Ontario resident of Saskatchewan. Walchuk prevailed on November 12 against Martin Desjardins in a battle fought in Calgary.

As for "Kid Chocolate" Quillin, a newcomer to Oscar de la Hoya's company, he recorded victories at the expense of Sam Hill, Dionisio Miranda and Antwun Echols in his most recent fights. Quillin vs. Walchuk will take place on the undercard to Jean Pascal's defense of the WBC/IBO titles against Bernard Hopkins.

Molitor's Next Fight in Play

After recently reaching a four-year promotional agreement with Top Rank, IBF super bantamweight champion Steve Molitor (33-1-0) is already looking ahead to his next fight. Top Rank won the purse bid for Molitor's mandatory defense against Takalani Ndlovu. Top Rank bid $ 215,000 against $ 154,240 for Branco Sports. There are rumors about the fight possibly taking place on the undercard of Lucian Bute's next defense of the IBF 168-pound title, which may take place in April in Montreal.
