Sherzod Husanov enjoyed a successful stateside debut with a majority decision over Jhon Berrio in their 10-round main event at the Northern Quest Casino in Airway Heights, Washington.

Scores were 95-95 even, 98-92 and 96-94 for Husanov, who returns to Russia (by way of Uzbekistan) with a record of 15-0-1 (7KO). Berrio,a tough-as-nails junior middleweight based out of Colombia, ends a modest two-fight win streak as he falls to 15-7 (11KO).

Jonte Willis (7-0, 3KO) remains unbeaten but hardly impressed in unanimous decision win over late sub Leo Bercier (8-13-1, 4KO). Scores were 40-36 across the board for their four-round heavyweight swing bout.

Undefeated super middleweight Maxim Vlasov opened up the telecast a third round knockout over Jerson Ravelo in the ESPN2 Friday Night Fights televised opener at the Northern Quest Casino in Airway Heights, Washington.

The official time was 1:12 of the third round.

It was perhaps the most impressive win of Vlasov’s young career, icing Ravelo with a right hand midway through the third round to put the Dominican away for the full ten count. To his credit, Ravelo – a member of the 2000 Dominican Olympic boxing squad - tried his hardest to stand upright as the referee reached ten, but was in no condition to continue even if he beat the count.

Vlasov is now 18-0 (9KO) with the win, his third of 2010. Ravelo, who took the fight on short notice, falls to 20-5 (12KO). All five of his losses have come by stoppage, and it might be time to start thinking about a new line of work.
