The EBU has set November 10 as the deadline for purse bids for its heavyweight champion Labinot Xhoxhaj’s mandatory title defence against Pezhman Seifkhani.
Xhoxhaj, 21-0-1 (16KOs), was a little-known cruiserweight when given the chance to fight for the EBU heavyweight title against the then-champion Oleksandr Zahkhozi in November 2024 and earned a unanimous decision.
The 32 year old, who was born in Kosovo but fights out of Germany, then earned a further unanimous decision in his first title defence, against Mourad Aliev in June.
Sweden’s 34-year-old Pezhman Seifkhani has a reported record of 17-1 (12KOs). He most recently earned a 12-round decision over Eduardo Giustini in April.
