According to ringpolska.pl, a final IBF heavyweight eliminator between undefeated Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev (17-0, 9 KOs), and two-time, two-division world champion Tomasz Adamek (48-2, 29 KOs), can possibly happen in Poland either in late March or in April.
IBF #1, WBA #4, WBC #7 and IBF #11 Pulev, 31, enjoyed by far the best year of his young professional career in 2012, knocking out giant contenders Alexander Dimitrenko (Ukraine) and Alexander Ustinov (Belarus/Russia) – both in dominant fashion, and stopping British veteran Michael Sprott. Adamek, 36, is coming off a pair of highly controversial decisions over Eddie Chambers (a wide UD in a relatively even fight) and Steve Cunningham (in what was thought by many to be one of the most blatant robberies in 2012) as well as a knockdown in his September firefight with Travis Walker. Adamek is ranked #3 by the IBF and #9 by the WBA.
