Professional Boxing Returns to the County Center
For the second time in almost 7 years, Northeast Promotions brings professional Boxing back to the Westchester County Center, on Friday May 6th, 2005.
Headlining the 6 bout card Welterweight Delvin Rodriguez (14-1-1, 7KO’s), Danbury, CT. Delvin is coming off a convincing win over a tough Marteze Logan which was co-featured live on ESPN 2’s "Friday Night Fights" this past March 18. Delvin is consistently, fight after fight, showing the boxing community that he is force to be reckoned with. Delvin will be fighting an 8 Round bout against an opponent to be named.
In the co-feature, former NY Golden Glove champ Frankie Figueroa (8-2, 3KO’s) Bronx, NY, will be fighting the before mentioned Marteze Logan (18-13-2 4KO’s) Covington, TN, in an 8 round Jr. Welterweight match-up. Figueroa has dazzling hand speed and is always in entertaining fighter.
Also featured will be Ann Marie Saccurato (8-0-2 3KO’s) White Plains, NY. In a special attraction 6 round female bout this past February at the County Center, boxing fans got a little taste of Ann Marie when she took on a tough Victoria Cisneros. Both women decided it was going to be a slug fest with Ann Marie coming out the winner by unanimous decision. Ann Marie will also be fighting an 8 Round bout and is trying to capitalize on the recent rise in popularity for woman’s Boxing due to the Oscar winning movie, Million Dollar Baby.
There will be three other exciting bouts as well.
Doors open at 7:00 PM, first fight will be at 7:45/8:00 PM with tickets going on sale Friday, April 8. Tickets will be $75.00 Gold Ringside, $40.00 ringside Reserved, and $25.00 General Admission, available at the Westchester County Center and through Ticket Master.
