Prize Fight Boxing’s monthly Saturday fight night series on UPN 30 returns this Saturday July 23 to Fitzgeralds Casino Tunica as they present “Showdown At The Shamrock”. The show will feature 6 world class boxing events headlined by Adam “The Boss” Hubinger 10-0 10 KO’s against Billy Thompson 7-2 (3 KO’s) from Garland, TX.

This will be Adam’s first foray into main event territory as he looks to further his career against the formidable Billy Thompson. “Billy is the toughest boxer I have faced this far. I am about to find out where I am at in my career. I am ready for a war,” explained a psyched Adam Hubinger on Tuesday. “Adam has never faced a man of my experience level. I will teach young Adam a few things Saturday night. I’ll show him who the boss really is,” proclaimed an always confident Billy Thompson.

Also on the card is Christy Nickel of Southaven, MS as she meets Kim Conners of Little Rock, AR. “It is great to be fighting in front of my home fans again,” said Christy about her upcoming fight. “I know Kim is tough but the support of my fans will help persevere,” Christy also said. Christy must get past the tough Kim Conners if she is to compete for a World Title August 20th in Beijing, China against Miriam Brakeche. If Christy is able to get past Kim and Miriam she would be the first boxing world champion from the mid-south in may years.

The night of boxing is rounded out by four other exciting bouts. Charles Ellis battles Walter Wiggins in a heavyweight bout. Mikel Williams opposes Memphis’ Marteze Logan in a clash of welterweights. James Johnson and Brian Norman square off in the light heavyweight division. Adam Richards slugs it out with Joe Harris in another heavyweight clash. Doors open for the event at 7:00 PM and the first bout will be shortly thereafter. Tickets are $30 and are available at the Fitzgeralds Casino Gift Shop.
