Puerto Rican prospect Prichard Colón will make his next return on Saturday April 11, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York against an opponent to be confirmed. His fight takes place on the same card where junior welterweight champions Danny Garcia (29-0, 17 KOs) and Lamont Peterson (33-2-1-17 KOs) will collide at a catch-weight of 143-pounds.
Columbus, a native of Orocovis who remains undefeated with 13-0 and 10 KOs, practices hard in Hamburg, Germany, under the tutelage of experienced and renowned Cuban coach Pedro Diaz.
The veteran coach took him to Europe due to commitments to other fighters and they are training there until the end of this month. Diaz has been in the corner of recognized world champions Miguel Cotto, Guillermo Rigondeaux and Grigory Drozd, among others.
"The experience of training in Germany has been enriching. It is a very beautiful country and I've trained hard and learned about other cultures. The people expect a lot from me and work hard to achieve my goal of being world champion. To my people and those of Orocovis in Puerto Rico, I thank you for your support," Colon said.
