The new Puerto Rican sensation, flyweight prospect Jonathan 'Bomba' Gonzalez, got the second win of his young career last Saturday in Bayamon. Now he readies for a possible return on a Top Rank promoted card on May 6 at the Mandalay in Las Vegas, Nevada, or possibly the following day at the MGM Grand, where Manny Pacquiao defends the WBO welterweight title against "Sugar" Shane Mosley in the main event.
In other news and notes, on May 20th former welterweight and junior middleweight champion Jose "El Gallo" Rivera (39-6-1 and 24 KO's) will return against Abel Perry (13-4 and 5 KO's) in a function to be held in Worcester, Massachusetts.
That same day, veteran Angel 'La Avispa" Chacon (30-9-2, 15 KO's) will fight with Carlos Molina (14-0 and 7 KO's) in Costa Nesa, California.
