On November 4 in Kazan (Russia), 36-year-old Russian heavyweight Alexander Povetkin will collide with former world challenger, 35-year-old Mariusz Wach of Poland.

If Povetkin is victorious, his next fight should be against the current world champion of the World Boxing Council, Deontay Wilder (35-0, 34KOs).

Wilder-Povetkin should have taken place already, but Wilder's side asked the WBC to have one more voluntary defense, which took place a month ago. R

Povetkin's promoter, Andrei Ryabinsky, says his side needs to be patient because negotiating a deal with Wilder is very difficult.

"Negotiating with Wilder is very difficult, so we need to wait a bit. Everything has its time," said Ryabinsky.

After Povetkin-Wach takes place, the WBC is going to order both sides to begin negotiations. Wilder is likely going to have another voluntary in January, and the WBC expects his fight with Povetkin to happen by April.
