This Saturday Russian heavyweight Alexander Povetkin will step into the ring against Mexican Javier Mora. This can be his last tune-up fight before the title bout for the IBF belt, which belongs to Wladimir Klitschko. Some consider that Mora isn’t serious opponent before Klitschko, but Povetkin thinks otherwise.
“I’m not disappointed at all, I absolutely trust my trainer who chooses the best opponents for my further progress”, - explained Povetkin to sportbox.ru. – “I’ve seen Mora’s fight with Ibragimov. The Mexican rushed to attack from the get-go and suddenly took the punch. However Mora had a lot of good fights with strong opponents where he went full distance. For example with Fres Oquendo. What kind of boxer is Mora? He’s got a lot of aggression, fighting spirit, but lacks technical skills”.
Povetkin also commented on the upcoming fight between his past opponent Eddie Chambers and possible future opponent Wladimir Klitschko.
“Chambers is a good boxer”, - says Alexander. – “I think the bout will be exciting, but I doubt that we’ll see the same Chambers as in fight with Alexander Dimitrenko. I guess that Klitshcko will win by decision. As for me, it’s too early to think about Klitschko. I’ll start to think about it when we set an agreement for our fight. To tell you the truth, the reporters have already worn me out with the questions about Klitschko”.
