MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Kenny Porter, father and trainer of IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter (24-0-1, 15KOs), expects an impressive victory over mandatory challenger Kell Brook (32-0, 22KOs). The Showtime televised fight is scheduled for August 16th at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

Brook, along with his promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom, are predicting a stoppage win. They believe Porter will be unable withstand the pressure for twelve rounds. They are so confident that a warning has already been issued to domestic rival Amir Khan, advising him that he won't be able to run once they claim the IBF title.

If that's the plan, Kenny says the British duo will be disappointed when they come back to the UK empty-handed.

"Sounds like smoke and mirrors to me. Sounds like two guys who are trying to convince themselves of what they're going to do. They are speaking it into existence, actually trying to create their destiny. Like I said before, we are welcoming him to the United States of America and it's going to be a rude awakening," Kenny told BoxingScene.com.
