IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter has no problem with Amir Khan potentially challenging Floyd Mayweather Jr. (45-0, 26KOs) for the WBC welterweight crown. Khan (28-3, 19KOs) is reportedly the frontrunner to face Mayweather on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
At the same time, Porter felt Khan's last fight, a tough war with Julio Diaz, was a draw - and he expects Mayweather to expose some of Khan's defects in the fight.
"I think Amir is a good fighter, I think he has what it takes. But I think we thought that about the last two or three guys who fought Mayweather," Porter said. "[Khan] is a great fighter, a great athlete, but at the same time we've seen a lot of flaws in his boxing skills that we know Floyd will expose."
