Filipino lightweight Arnel Porras has battled undefeated Australian Ahmed Elomar to a draw over six rounds at the Aussie Stadium in Moore Park, Sydney while Ariel Omongos, a noted kick-boxer suffered a first round TKO at the hands of another undefeated Aussie Billy Dib.
One judge Charlie Lucas had Porras the winner 58-56 while a second judge scored it 59-57 for Elomar while the third judge Gary Dean scored it even at 58-58.
The 23 year old Porras was coming off a third round technical decision against Matthew Paulley last March 3 after losing by a unanimous decision in a Pan Asia Boxing Association title fight against Thai champion Somchai Nakbalee last January 12.
Elomar, on the other hand won the vacant IBF Pan Pacific lightweight title with an eleventh round TKO over Raymundo Abesia last May 5.
Omongas who reportedly had 58 kickboxing fights had a 2-0 record going into the fight with Dib who improved to 11-0 with 7 KO’s.
