Viva Sports Pinoy Sports Specials on PBO or Pinoy Box Office on cable television have turned in huge viewership numbers making it the No. 1 show in programs other than movies and kid’s oriented shows.

AGB Nielsen’s ratings for Mega Manila TV programs had Pinoy Sorts Specials registered a remarkable 78 percent in household TV ratings besting the Miss World beauty pageant in Indonesia and TV Patrol (Teleradyo) which garnered 70 and 68 percent respectively.
The two boxing specials that turned in the impressive ratings were the September 28 program titled “Remembering  the Thrilla in Manila” and the October 5 “Marquez-Bradley Special.”

The telecast schedule is 7:30 p.m. on Saturdays with a replay at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays.

Subsequent specials on the Donaire-Darchinyan grudge rematch, the Manny Pacquiao-BrandonRios showdown in Macao and the pre-fight specials on the Big Fights at the Big Dome featuring WBO champions Donnie Nietes vs Sammy “Guty” Gutierrez and undefeated Merlito “Tiger” Sabillo vs Nicaragua’s 21 year old unbeaten interim champion are also expected to rate well and to keep the momentum going as boxing continues its revival after the smashing victories of Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire and "Fighter of the Decade" Manny Pacquiao.

Next week the program will feature Pan Asian Boxing Association flyweight champion Randy Petalcorin in his title defense against Thai challenger Samransak Singmanasak in  Melbourne in a fight card promoted by award-winning Radio/TV host and promoter Peter Maniatis.
