Pierce O’Leary will make his debut in the autumn after recently leaving behind the vest and headguard.
The 19-year-old confirmed his switch to the paid code earlier this month when he inked a managerial deal with MTK Global.
O’Leary, a former Docklands amateur who won the Irish under-22 title back in January, has represented the country internationally as well as claiming a bucket-load of underage honours.
And the Peter Taylor-trained Dubliner has been handed his first assignment in the pro ranks.
‘Bang Bang’ is among five names to have been confirmed to feature at the Ulster Hall in Belfast on October 11.
The card, headed by a tasty flyweight showdown between Commonwealth and European flyweight champion Jay Harris and three-time Irish Olympian Paddy Barnes, will be screened exclusively live in the UK on iFL TV and Stateside on ESPN+, in association with Bob Arum’s Top Rank Inc.
Gary Cully, one of his gym and promotional stablemates, will also feature on the card, alongside Sean McComb –– who had his career-best win to date on August 3 at Falls Park when he outpointed Renald Garrido –– Marco McCullough, who is back following his impressive third-round stoppage win against Declan Geraghty for the IBF European super-featherweight title back in May, and Lewis Crocker.
Further additions to the card will be revealed in due course.
