Two former champions Francisco Rodriguez and Ramon 'Principe' García are ready to face each other tomorrow night in the main event of the Zanfer Promotions and Promobox card which is being staged at the Arena Jose Sulaiman in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. The card will be televised by Azteca 7, La Casa del Boxing.

Rodriguez (17-4-1, 11 KO's), a former WBO/IBF unified minimumweight champion is seeking to get a new title shot after falling in July of last year to Donnie Nietes in a fight for the WBO flyweight belt.

Rodriguez had renounced his 105-pound titles due to weight problems and even gave a decent battle against Nietes in their twelve round contest.  In his most recent bout, on December 5, he lost a war against countryman Moises Fuentes in a final elimination bout to go for a title fight against Nietes.

Garcia Hirales (20-7-1, 12 KO's) was already a WBO world champion at flyweight and has faced fighters from the likes of Donnie Nietes, Román "Chocolatito" González, John Riel Casimero and Javier "Cobra" Mendoza, among others.

In 2010, he was crowned the WBO flyweight champion by beating Filipino John Riel Casimero by decision; whereas against Nietes and "Cobra" Mendoza he gave great battles that went to a decision.

Also on the card, Guadalajara's Carlos 'Chuko' Diaz and Chiapas' Emanuel 'Chicken' Lopez will collide in the co-featured bout of the evening.
