GUAYNABO, PUERTO RICO - Zsolt Bedak is ready to enter the ring for his first opportunity at a world title against the super bantamweight champion of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), Wilfredo Vasquez Jr., on the Billboard "Undefeated Champions" on Saturday, May 29, in a presentation being put together by PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP) in association with All Star Boxing and will be through the system of "Pay Per View." Bedak (15-0 and five knockouts) showed his good condition this afternoon while training at the Wilfredo Gomez Gym with his coach the former world champion Artur Grigorian. The Hungarian fighter made several training exercises, jumped rope and hit the bag before he got in the ring to work with Grigorian, going several rounds in secret (without cameras) as a strategy for shock.
"We're ready, we only came here to move around a bit and work with our strategy and technique for the fight," Bedak said through an interpreter. "We know a little about Vázquez, we have seen some of him."
The undefeated former Olympian downplayed fight being in the "home" of his rival, because he is used to going in as the "'underdog."
The main event will present Vazquez Jr. (18-0-1, 15 KOs) exposing his WBO super bantamweight scepter first to Bedak (15-0 and five KOs), while Roman "Rocky" Martinez (23-0 - 1 and 14 knockouts) will defend his junior lightweight belt against the Nicaraguan Gonzalo Mungía (17-6 and 13 knockouts).
