The official weigh-in Saturday's big event - "The International Boxing Festival - Mexico vs. Argentina" - was performed without a hitch in Navojoa, Sonora. The legendary Luis Ramon "Yori Boy" Campas had a switch in opponent and now faces Argentine challenger Carlos "Chuny" Rodriguez, with both weighing 160-pounds on the scale. Campas (98-15-1, 77 KOs) and Rodriguez (54-17-0, 39 KOs) will vie for the Fedelatin middleweight championship (WBA) over twelve rounds.
Jose "Sugar" Salgado and his Argentine opponent Carlos Ariel "Pancake" Farias, who fight for the North American Championship at super flyweight (Naba), weighed exactly the same: 52,200 kg. Salgado (25-1, 22 KOs) and Farías (12-3-, 1 KO) said they were ready to enter the ring.
The third headliner, Jesus "Negrito" Silvestre and Argentina's Walter "Jimmy" Red, promise a war. Silvestre (22-2, 16 KOs) and Rojas (17-1-1, 16 KOs) meet for ten rounds and weighed 48 kilos and 47,600.
The featherweights, Andrew "Jaguar" Gutierrez and Jesus "Estrellita" Ruiz, came in at 57,200 kilograms. Gutierrez (19-0, 16 KOs) and Ruiz (25-4-2, 18 KOs) are ready for battle.
