Headlining the KO Drugs Festiva,l organized by the World Boxing Association (WBA) and the local promoter Ezequiel Obando, is a super featherweight battle for the vacant interim-super featherweight belt supported of the World Boxing Association (WBA). Bryan "Tiquito" Vazquez, who has a record of 31-1 with 17 knockouts, and Nicaragua's Rene Gonzalez (31-5-1, 23 knockouts), had no problems with making weight. Both boxers made the division limit of 130-pounds.
