The weigh-in ceremony passed without any issues. Mexicans Edgar Sosa, Johnny Gonzalez, Giovanni Caro and Alberto Garza are ready to make good on their predictions that on November 20 they will honor the memory of those Mexicans who a hundred years ago started the Mexican Revolution.
Sosa (40-6-0, 24 KO) will defend the WBC flyweight international title against Japanese Masafumi Okubo (18-3-1, 6 KO), while Johnny Gonzalez (46-7-0, 40 KO) will put his WBC mandatory featherweight status on the line against Colombian Santos Marimon (13-12-1, 8 KO). Garza (22-4-1, 18 KO ) will takes on African Justin Savi (24-0-0, 16 KOs) for the WBC silver featherweight title and Caro (20-8-4, 16 KO ) will, over ten rounds, will face Felix Machado (25-12-0, 12 KO). All these ingredients make for a very good card, to be broadcast on Televisa. Photos by Alma Montiel of Boxing Gala.
