Former world champion Manuel  “Chango” Vargas will take on Michel Arango in the main event of “Top Rank Live” this Saturday at the Tecate Box Tour arena that was built outside of the Hector Espino baseball stadium in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.

Vargas (27-3-1, 15 Kos) of Lagos Moreno, Jalisco and Arango (30-8-3. 24 Kos) of Monteria, Colombia will battle in a 10 round flyweight bout in the main event promoted by Promociones Zanfer and Top Rank to be telecast by Fox Sports en Espanol in the United States and Azteca TV in Mexico.

“This fight is very important for me. Arango is a world ranked fighter and a win would put in line for another world title shot,” said Vargas.

In the co feature fight of the night Juan “Gallito”  Estrada (13-0, 11 Kos) of Hermosillo, Sonora will take on former national Mexican champion Carlos Rodriguez (19-7-1, 11 Kos) in an 8 round super flyweight bout that has created a lot of expectations among the local fans.

In an off TV bout undefeated prospect Roberto Marroquin (14-0, 11 Kos) of Dallas, Texas will take on Jesus Quintero (8-4-2, 4 Kos) of Los Mochis, Sinaloa in an 8 round featherweight bout. Marroquin weight-in at 126 and Quintero at 125 today.

The card will also mark the return of local hero and two-time world champion Jose Luis Castillo (61-10-1, 52 Kos) of Empalme, Sonora who will take on Daniel Ypucupicio (12-12-2, 3 Kos) of Navojoa, Sonora.

“Top Rank Live” is televised live at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time and 7:00 p.m. Pacific by Fox Sports Espanol in the United States and Latin America.
