Argentinean and World Boxing Organization (WBO) Latino junior middleweight champion, former world title challenger Javier "La Bestia" Maciel, will face experienced Colombian contender Emilio “El Tornado” Julio. Maciel defends his belt for the fourth time in the 12-round main event of an exciting night that will take place at the Polideportivo Stadium of Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in a presentation promoted by Argentina Boxing Promotions, of Mario Margossian, televised live by TyC Sports in Argentina and parts of America, starting at 11 p.m.
 
Maciel (24-2, 17 KOs), ranked WBO #6, will also stake his high ranking against Julio (26-9-2, 19 KOs). This afternoon, both of them succeeded at the weigh-in ceremony held at the Buenos Aires Boxing Commission. Maciel weighed 154 pounds. Julio came in at 153.8 pounds.

The 28-year-old Maciel, a former WBO middleweight challenger, went down in weight after going the distance against world WBO middleweight champ Dmitry Pirog in Russia, on March 2011.
