Photos: WBA Champ Miguel Acosta Honored in Caracas

Caracas - The Governor of Vargas, Jorge Luis Garcia Carneiro, as the lightweight champion of the WBA, Venezuelan Miguel "Aguacerito" Acosta was a guest of honor and received his deserved recognition from the highest regional authority.

The native, who just started training after a brief rest which he took after winning the title in Namibia, was accompanied by his family, and his manager and father, Professor Oscar Acosta.

In the hands of the Governor, he received a plaque, and also words of encouragement that Garcia Carneiro said, to recognize him as an important figure in Venezuelan sports, an example for the youth and especially as a person of great influence on children.
