Former flyweight champion Hernan "Tyson" Marquez made his return for the first time since last year's TKO loss to Brian Viloria, and showed great condition, explosiveness, and strength in scoring a dramat knockout in the third round to Edgar "Power" Jimenez before a loud crowd in Hermosillo, Mexico. Tyson (36-3, 27 KOs) feinted and placed a powerful left cross that caught Jiminez on the chin and put him down at 1:44 of the third. After taking that shot Jiminez's legs and mental state were in bad condition. More than 2000 people filled the building. Zanfer Promotions organized the card.
