At Benjamatheputit School in Petchburi, Thailand, hometown fighter Thepparith Singwancha (16-2, 10 KOs) won a razor close unanimous decision over previously undefeated Drian Francisco (20-1-1, 16 KOs) to win the WBA's interim-super flyweight title. The scores were 114-113, 114-113 and 117-111. A knockdown in the third round was the difference in the close points scoring for Singwancha.
