Paz (4-4-1) was fighting for the first time outside of Argentina. He last fought on May 6, losing by unanimous decision to Luis Roberto Mato.

In the main event of the card, Terence Crawford became the undisputed junior welterweight champion after a stunning third-round knockout of Julius Indongo.

Crawford, 29, improved to a 32-0 win-loss with his victory at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Nebraska, his home state, on Saturday.

The American landed a crushing shot to the body of Indongo (22-1) in the third round, unifying the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO titles.

Crawford - who held the WBC and WBO titles prior to the fight - was dominant from the outset, and he knocked Indongo down during the second round.

While the Namibian managed to get up on that occasion, Crawford landed a huge body shot in the third for the knockout.
