Photos: Shakhram Giyasov Drops Christian Gomez Three Times, Wins Decision

The scores were 99-88, 99-88, 98-89.

Giyasov was boxing well in the first two rounds, throwing and landing very calculated punches. In the third, Gomez landed a big left, but Giyasov took the shot and continued to box. 

In the fourth, a counter left hook sent Gomez down. Gomez beat the count, with Giyasov jumping on him and looking for the finish. Gomez was trying to counter back and kept up enough of a defense to survive the round. Gomez managed to get back in the fight in the fifth and sixth, with Giyasov still edging the action with his boxing ability.

In the seventh, Gomez was caught once again and dropped by an uppercut that nearly made Giyasov fall over. A moment later, Gomez stunned Giyasov with a good combination. Giyasov was being cautious in the eight, as Gomez was coming forward and landing big shots.

The last two rounds were competitive, with Giyasov boxing well and dropping Gomez in the tenth. Gomez stayed dangerous and never stopped coming forward.
