Everyone is ready for the fight between the new Mexican idol, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Luciano Cuello, who will compete for the silver welterweight title of the World Boxing Council, this Saturday, July 10th at the Arena VFG in Tlajomulco (Guadalajara), Jalisco, Mexico. Each fighter weighed 150-pounds for Saturday's clash.

Both fighters made weight at the official weigh-in ceremony on Friday at noon at the Plaza de la Liberacion (between Avenida Hidalgo and Calle Morelos) in the beautiful city of Guadalajara.

It was a great live atmosphere at the weigh-in, which was attended by local and international press and also featured a special presence of the promoter Oscar de la Hoya, president of Golden Boy Promotions.

"Canelo has all of the time in the world to further develop his boxing abilities because he is only 19 years old," said De La Hoya to NotiFight.com. "He's good looking and has charisma, I have no doubt he will be a great world champion and a great champion for Mexico."
