SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO - THe World Boxing Organization (WBO) and WBO Junior Lightweight Champion Román "Rocky" Martínez showed kids the art of boxing yesterday at an event in Cupey Alto, where also some trainers, WBO officials and parents took part.
Martínez (24-0-1, 15 KOs) spoke to the kids between the ages of 6 and 13 about boxing and brought a message of staying off drugs as part of the WBO's slogan "Kids Drug Free".
The kids, from Centro de Verano Las Curías and Centro de Verano Cupey, fought in exhibitions bouts and took pictures with the champion, who signed autographs during the event.
