All three judges scored it 100-88.

It was a technical boxing match at the start. Hitchins was credited with a knockdown when Bauza was off-balance and went down from a tangling of feet. Hitchins was landing accurate punches during the second, with Bauza having some moments.

In the fourth, Hitchins banked a legit knockdown when he landed a big right hand down the pipe to drop Bauza. Bauza was able to weather the storm and survived the round. By the seventh round, the face of Bauza was busted up with a lot of bruising from the damaging punches of Hitchins.

During the ninth, Bauza was going for broke as Hitchins blasted him right back with a variety of big punches. Bauza was taking a beating for most of the round. In the tenth and final round, it was all Hitchins with accurate punches with both hands.
