Unbeaten Janeth "Cuisilla" Perez, rising prospect Oscar "Raton" Cortes, Japanese contender Masamichi Nozaki and former champion Nancy "Chiquita" Franco were all present for the final press conference to promote "Mexican Dream" - an event being put together by Canelo Promotions on May 27 at the popular Arena Jalisco in Guadalajara.
Perez, the brand new National Super Bantamweight champion, will fight Mary Camacho for ten rounds in the main event of the evening. The card will begin at 8:30 pm.
For his part, Oscar Cortes, who does not know defeat, will seek his eleventh knockout in his career when he faces Armando Mariscal, over eight rounds at the agreed weight of 60 kilos. A National Olympic medalist in 2007, he is a solid prospect under Canelo Promotions.
While Japanese fighter Masamichi Nozaki is ready to appear before the audience of Jalisco in what will be his first fight in this country. Nozaki is slowly adjusting to the height of Guadalajara, will exchange blows with Jonathan Torres, over six rounds at the weight of 53 kilos.
Another who makes his debut Canelo's company, Nancy Franco, will face Livier Vázquez, over four rounds at strawweight. Nancy previously held the national belt and recently fought Ibeth Zamora for the WBC world title.
Other boxers to be part of the card include world ranked Jesus "Negrito" Silvestre, Michel "Lefty" Garcia, the Honduran Miguel Gonzalez, Wilebaldo "Chino" Velazquez, Carlos Marcelino, and their respective opponents.
