SAN JUAN DEL RIO QUERETARO - "I'm go for what is mine and this time no one will stop me" were the words of Omar Niño Romero from his headquarters where he is training for his fight against Rodel Mayol for the World Boxing Council flyweight world championship on Saturday June 19 in San Juan del Río, Querétaro.
Mayol (26-4-2, 20 Kos), the current champion of the WBC and Niño Romero (28-3-2, 11 Kos), are presented as an event being put together by Zanfer in coordination with the Government of the State of Querétaro and will be broadcast by TV Azteca to the entire Mexican Republic.
"We're training hard, we know the weaknesses of Mayol, this time there will be no excuse, I will come out a winner, but I will try to win by knockout, I do not want any surprises, there is no doubt that I will win," said Nino Romero about the "rematch" of their first fight which was held on February 27 in Guadalajara, and stopped in the third round with a controversial decision.
