WBA interim-super featherweight champion Jorge Solis (39-2-2, 28 KOs) knocked out previously unbeaten Francisco Cordero (23-0, 15 KOs) in the sixth round after dishing out punishment throughout the fight.

In other action, Mexican featherweight contender Rafael "Chocho" Guzman, won by TKO, at 1:40 of the fifth round, over his compatriot Sergio "Mickey" López. Guzman raises his record to 26-2, 18 KOs. Lopez drops to 11-2.
